  18. This could be a good album cover for a rock band, but it’s not anywhere near the photos of the men in black suits in terms of merit. The title overloads the photo with cultural baggage. Better to show and not tell. Let the viewer come to their own conclusion.

    That’s not to say that it is a flawed image in a technical sense. It’s clear that you have mastery over your medium. The criticism is levied instead at the idea behind the photo, and I’m harsher in that sense because your other images have shown that you are capable of making great images in both regards.
