  2. marvelous texture in the water!

    Comment by todd — December 31, 2008 @ 3:48 pm
  3. Wonderful symbolism in a minimal context. I can’t tell if the bird is 2008 on it’s way out or 2009 coming in, but I guess that’s up to the eye of the beholder.

    Comment by 613photo — December 31, 2008 @ 4:29 pm
  4. Impressive. (It reminded me of that photograph : http://www.beaucoupdimages.com/2008/12/this-is-your-land.html ; they are the exact opposite, in the concept. )
Your bird has no homeland, and the feeling that comes out of it is quite disturbing. And I love it ! But the title makes me think you didn’t see it that way.

    Comment by Thibaut — January 1, 2009 @ 4:49 am
  5. So minimalistic from one side, and so full of expression from the other. Amazing frame. Superb capture.

  9. not enough sharp to be perfect… but great mood…
Have a soft and tender new year..

    Comment by CushmoK — January 2, 2009 @ 3:33 pm
  10. I find it interesting that people are judging perfection in a photograph by technical means such as sharpness, rule of thirds, etc… IMHO, this is missing what a photograph is truly about. If every photo were perfect, it would be like reading Disckinson or Hemingway bereft of their signature prose. No need to be perfect if you’re not shooting to be perfect, but good. There is a difference.
